

The logo of Siddharth and Tamanna’s upcoming film Konchem Ishtam Konchem Kashtam was unveiled by Siddharth and Brahmanandam at a function at Ramanaidu Studios on Monday.
Set to hit the screens in January, newcomer Kishore Kumar wields the megaphone for Konchem Istham Konchem Kashtam being produced by Nallamalupu Srinivas aka Bujji.
Siddharth looks much younger than in his earlier films, opines D Suresh Babu.
The film’s audio is to be released shortly. Director Kishore Kumar calls the film a love story plugging for values. Brahmanandam plays cricketer.
“I wanted Shankar Ehsaan Loy to score the music for the film and Bujii promptly signed them up regardless of the fee ,’’ said the upbeat director thanking friends Harish, Abburi Ravi and Deepak for coming up with the right script.
Prakash Raj, Ramyakrishna, Nasser, Venu Madhav, Raghubabu, Sudha, Hema and Karuna figures in the cast. Sirivennela, Seetaramasastry, Chandra Bose, Srirama Jogayya Sastry and Chinni Charan have penned the lyrics. Abburi Ravi has penned the dialogues and Baby Bhavya presents the film under Lakshmi Narasimha Productions banner.
Kamal and Colours Swathi’s new film With Kamal Kamaraju of Avakayi Biryani fame and Colours Swathi in the lead, a film is on the anvil. Currently in pre-production it will go on the sets in February next year. Satish, who earlier directed the award-winning Hope will direct the film. Mohan Vadlapatla who produced Malle Puvvu and Mental Krishna will produce the film under the Mohan Media C r e a t i o n s banner. It was too early to disclose anything about the film, Kamal Kamaraju said, but did add that it was based on a very nice subject.
Song recording held Introducing RV Ramakrishna as director and featuring newcomers Paramesh, Preethi Mehra and Roopa Kaur in the lead, a song recording of Devata Ramalakshmi Productions latest venture was held at a recent function at LJ Studio in the city.
After the pooja, a sloka rendered by playback singer Parnika was recorded under the baton of music director Raghunandan. Lyricist Bhaskarbhatla Ravi Kumar penned the songs.
Said to be a love story replete with hilarious sequences, the film will go on the floors in the last week of January. Devata Suryanarayana aka Suresh is going to produce the film. Gautham Raju is the editor. Mohan K Talluri is the art director.
A big turning point
It’s a big turning point after for 27 years in the industry, beams actress Kavitha on her new role as a politician. Having joined Telugu Desam Party she met the media by way of a ‘thanksgiving to the film industry’ at a function on Tuesday. Getting emotional she vowed not to quit films.
Kavitha, who entered films when she was just 11-years-old went on to do about 130 films as heroine, in all the South Indian languages, including Seetha Geetha Dhatithe, President Peramma, Rowdy Rudramma, Bommala Koluvu, Chuttalunnaru Jagrattha and Premabhishekam.
She has also essayed over 100 roles as character artiste. “I was offered an active role in politics about two years ago, but I took my time as as I wanted to acquire a grasp of various issues, she said.
On the occasion, she handed over a cheque for Rs 25,000 for the upcoming wedding of senior cine journalist Anand’s daughter.
Herself blessed with two daughters Madhavi, Sravanthi and a son, Sairoop, she said: “I needed to be in big position to do something good. But it’s for the party to decide.’’ To a question, she said there couldn’t be any comparison between a shrewd politician like Chandrababu Naidu and a beginner like Chiranjeevi. “I may not be a big star compared to others, but I am proud of having reached so far despite my humble background.’’
