HYDERABAD: E Naresh, popularly known as Allari Naresh, won the best supporting actor Nandi award for his role in the film ‘Gamyam’, while Raksha won the best supporting actress for the film Nachavule.

The State Government today announced the Nandi awards.

Master Bharath won the best child actor award for the film ‘Ready’ and A Saikiran won the award as the best debut director for his film ‘Vinayakudu.’ Ashok was adjudged the best art director for Arundhati’ and the best choreographer award went to Prem Bhasker for the film ‘Kanthri.’ Radhakrishna and Madhusudan Reddy got the best audiography award for the film ‘Arundhati’, Deepa Chander won the best costume designer award and Ramesh Mohanty won the best makeup artiste award for the same film.

Ram Laxman has won the best fight master award for the film ‘Neninthe,’ P Ravi Sanker won the best male dubbing artiste award and R Harita won the best female dubbing artiste award for the film ‘Nachavule.’ ‘Arundhati’ also bagged the best special effects award and Rahul Nambiar would take it. The awards committee headed by film producer Tammareddy Bharadwaja today submitted a report in this regard to Chief Minister K Rosaiah at the latter’s chamber after a final meeting of the committee.

Film ‘Parugu’ has been selected as the third best feature film and would get Bronze Nandi while its director Bhaskar, hero Allu Arjun and heroine Sheila would get copper Nandi awards.

In the best home viewing feature film category ‘Ashta Chamma’ won the Silver Nandi and ‘Ready’ won the best popular film award and would get Silver Nandi. Among feature films on national integrity wing 1940 ‘Lo Oka Gramam’ was selected for Golden Nandi and its director N Narasimha would get copper Nandi.

In children’s films category no film was selected for Golden Nandi and `Durgi’ was selected for Silver Nandi award.

No documentary film won the best documentary and ‘Memu Manushulame’ won Silver Nandi as the second best documentary. Under the books and articles on Telugu Cinema category ‘Arudra Cine Mini Kaburlu’ has been selected as the best book and its author Ramalaxmi Arudra would the get the copper Nandi. Best film critic award went to P Sarathkumar.
