HYDERABAD: After receiving many representations urging to increase the cash prizes to encourage creativity in the fields of cinema, theatre and television fields, the State Government has decided to enhance the honorarium to the Nandi film jury as well as to the award winners.
A decision to this effect was taken based on the recommendations of the Committee chaired by Information and Public Relations Minister. The enhanced prize monies would be implemented with immediate effect for the Nandi awards from 2008 onwards and accordingly the Government Order was also issued.
