HYDERABAD:Alleging that some 'evil forces' had given `wrong information' against him to the party high command, former legislator and PCC general secretary Ambati Rambabu today urged the Congress Central leadership to rethink his suspension from the party.

He will be writing to Union law minister and incharge of AP affairs M Veerappa Moily shortly.

Meanwhile, he asked: ''Why was no action taken against those who had defied the orders of the high command? Is it proper for me to be made a scapegoat?''

It may be recalled that the party leadership had recently suspended Ambati from the party for criticising Chief Minister K Rosaiah in connection with Kadapa MP Jagan Mohan Reddy's 'Odarpu Yatra'.

PCC disciplinary committee chairman K Satyanarayana Raju had earlier issued a show cause notice to him giving time till July 31 for an explanation.

Addressing a press conference at the Press Club at Somajiguda here, Ambati Rambabu along with PCC kisan cell member G Ramachandra Rao believed to be a close aide of Jaganmohan Reddy, said he was in a dilemma whether or not to appear before the PCC disciplinary committee to give an explanation to the show cause notice on July 31 since he had not received any information from the Congress high command and was not aware of the reasons for his suspension.

He urged the party leadership to take action against him only after considering the explanation given to the committee.

"I have never violated party discipline nor worked against its interests. I want the party leadership to understand my anxiety and rethink my suspension,'' he said.

Replying to a volley of questions, Ambati asserted that the late YSR's son would not float a new political party, but remain in the Congress. He said he had not made any personal but only ``political'' remarks against Chief Minister K Rosaiah.
