Amidst a church, a durgah and a temple lies My Home, an old age home, which is considered a paradise for senior citizens. St Joseph’s Home for Aged celebrated its third anniversary at Old Mudfort and also inaugurated its new home.

“My Home was started three year back by a few individuals, and the network has now spread over fifteen hundred individuals who voluntarily contribute towards it. The mission is to enable citizens to live a holistic life and prepare them for a dignified and peaceful end,” said Mukunda Mala, general secretary of My Home.

The old age home is open for everyone without any caste or gender discrimination. The team also has a certain set of objectives that is mainly to provide all sorts of facilities to the senior citizens so that they can their lives in a positive way.

HE Thomas, president of team, while talking about the medical facilities available for the people, said, “We have a nurse and a maid but we would need more advanced medical assistance from the people. We need a lot of trained nurses and doctors in case of emergency.”
