

HYDERABAD: With an aim to give arts and culture the much needed boost in the state, the T Subbarami Reddy Lalitha Kala Parishat was launched here today amidst Tollywood stars and eminent personalities.
Actor and PRP chief Chiranjeevi launched the Parishat logo.
Parishat founder chairman T Subbarami Reddy said they would focus on encouraging cultural programmes and traditional art forms.
Auditoriums would be built for each zone formed with 4-5 districts.
Inter-collegiate and university programmes, spiritual festivals and discourses would also be organised apart from aiding music and dance colleges, poets, novelists and shortstory writers, he said. Some actors and actresses were fecilitated at the event for their contribution to the Telugu film industry. Former chief minister K Rosaiah was the chief guest.
The event began with captivating dance performances by actress Shobhana, Bathukamma dances by Snehalata Murali and party, folk dance by Dhanraj and co, musical show by Mano and Chitra and comedy skits by Brahmanadam and others.
