Avon Products, Inc. announced the 100 contenders from 41 countries who will advance to the second round of Avon Voices — the company’s first-ever global online singing talent search. Aisha Ali makes India proud as she goes to round two. The contenders have been chosen from a combination of an online public vote and an Avon Voices judging panel. Starting today through June 20, the public can view Aisha Ali’s performance and vote for her at AvonVoices.com.

Out of 178 round one contenders from around the world, Aisha Ali, one of two Indians, belonging to Madanapalle, Andhra Pradesh, proceeded to round two of the contest. Over 1.7 million votes around the world were cast in round one.

On being selected in round two of Avon Voices, 21-year-old Aisha Ali, who currently works as a Karaoke Jockey and performs at various live shows around Bangalore, says, “Avon Voices is a great platform to showcase our music talent and create an identity for ourselves in global arena. I am extremely excited to be selected for the second round of Avon Voices. It will surely be a life changing experience if I get selected to be one of the top 10 contestants who will get to record with none other than the internationally renowned pop star Fergie.”

Culminating later this fall, 10 global finalists will join celebrity judges to record an anthem written by Diane Warren that will debut live at the Avon Foundation for Women Annual Gala in New York City, and be available for purchase in certain countries. At the gala, two winners — one an Avon Representative — will be announced, and will receive an opportunity to record a professionally produced album.

The finalists will be selected by a combination of online public voting and a renowned judging panel of music industry leaders from around the world, including Fergie, legendary songwriter Diane Warren and Natasha Bedingfield, among others.
