Telugu suspense thriller Avunu, which released last month was a surprise hit at the Box Office. And, the latest buzz is that the Telugu flick might be remade in Hindi.
However, the interesting part is that is that Jab Tak Hai Jaan (JTHJ) girl Anushka Sharma is believed to be in talks for the Bollywood version. Ravi Babu’s film Avunu revolves around a family that starts feeling the presence of an unknown force in their house.
The original film starred Poorna and Harshavardhan Rane. Currently Anushka has several films on her plate. JTHJ, directed by Yash Chopra, who recently passed away, is up for release, followed by Vishal Bhardwaj’s Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola in January.
Other big projects include Anurag Kashyap’s Bombay Velvet and Rajkumar Hirani’s P.K. However, if things do work out with Avunu, it will be Anushka’s first remake of any south Indian film.
