Looking for a place to frame your Instagram picture? The Smile Store, claiming to be India’s only online print shop, processes Instagram images and delivers them home. Apart from this, the portal launched in February by Vipul Arora, offers posters, greeting cards, coasters, stickers, postcards, handmade albums and mini boxes for said images.
Made to please
The portal was formed to meet Arora’s personal needs. “It came about when I went out looking for people to print my Instagram images last year. Realising the gap in the market and the poor quality offered to me by the local studios, I knew this was something I needed to do,” shares Arora, 22, adding that they infuse their “magic” in pictures sent to them. “In our database, we maintain a record of the type of images each client likes. Some like more of the warm effect while the others like sharp images. Also, we Instagram the pictures clicked through an SLR or a digital camera and post approval (from clients), we print them,” explains the freelance photographer, who prints about 800 images in a month, with a total of about 45 to 50 orders.
Quick fix
The format is simple. “Our clients get in touch with us through our Facebook page and website. We reply within an hour with the best option available. They email us the pictures and we take care of the rest. The orders are shipped out within two days,” offers the former PR professional. Arora soon plans to expand to iPhone covers, canvas prints, prints on ceramic and so on.
Prints are priced from Rs 249 (for a set of 12).
