Taking strong exception to the alleged remarks of chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy that the Congress high command will not decide the Telangana issue till the 2014 polls, Congress member of the Rajya Sabha V Hanumantha Rao has asked Kiran Kumar Reddy to disclose his “source” which prompted him to make such statement.
“I would like to know from the chief minister the source who told him that the Congress high command would not decide the Telangana issue till the 2014 polls. If Kiran Reddy discloses the name of that AICC leader, who told him like that, I will go to that leader and plead with him to immediately decide the issue as promised by the high command,” Rao said here on Saturday.
Comparing the situation of the Congress in Telangana to that of a patient who has been put on a ventilator, the Congress senior leader said, “It is an appropriate time to take a decision on Telangana. If our high command keeps on postponing its decision, it will be detrimental to the interests of the party.”
