

The South Central Railway introduced two new trains, one to Kolkata and another to Madurai, on Tuesday. Both the trains were flagged of by Union minister of state for railways K.Surya Prakash Reddy here.
The premier 12774/12773 Secunderabad-Shalimar (Kolkata)-Secunderabad weekly express is completely air-conditioned and has modern LHB coaches offering more comfort to passengers.
It will cover the distance of 1,580 km in around 27 hours. The ticket fares are Rs 3,615 for a AC-I, Rs 2,105 for AC-II and Rs 1,450 for AC-III.
The 17615/17616 Kacheguda-Madurai-Kacheguda weekly express will be the second train directly connecting the two cities.
The train will cover a total distance of 1,293 km in around 25 hours, and connect several places of both historic and tourist importance. The fare for AC-II is Rs 1,805, AC-III Rs 1,235, while those for the Sleeper Class and General will be Rs 465 and Rs 260 respectively.
