The CID police have arrested a close associate of Azam Ghori, founder of terror outfit, Indian Muslim Mohammadi Mujahideen (IMMM), in a murder case.

Mohammed Aijaz Ahmed alias Aijaz (35) is a resident of Rakkaspet in Bodhan in Nizamabad district. He is wanted in a contract murder case and was involved in raising funds for IMMM formed by the late Azam Ghori.

Galla Radhika and her husband Galla Sambasiva Rao of Vijayawada had an enmity with their neighbour Katamaraju Laxminarayana. Azam Ghori, along with Mohammed Aijaz Ahmed and others, entered in to an agreement with the couple to kill Laxminarayana and executed the murder. The money he got in return was used in  procuring IEDs and other logistic support to carry out terror attacks such as the three blasts at Kakatiya Sweet House in Moghalpura in the old city of Hyderabad, planting of an IED at Lamba Theatre near Parade Grounds in Secunderabad, bomb blast at Venkateswara Cinema at Metpally in Karimnagar district, and murder of Mahavir Prasad Modi, a jeweller at Begum Bazar.

After the encounter of Azam Ghori Mohammed Aijaz Ahmed was arrested in  2000.  . A non-bailable warrant was issued against him and a special police team was formed with the help of Interpol to hunt him down. At last, he was arrested in Kuwait, and brought here.
