AISFM and Chapman University, two leading film institutes from India and the U.S announced a tie-up.
The Chair of Special Projects and Industry Initiatives , Chapman University, Alexandra Rose, well known for her classic films like Big Wednesday, Frankie and Johnny, Nothing in Common etc was looking to collaborate with a film school in India.
The Chapman University wanted to go with India because of the freedom of speech and minimal censorship, the huge film industries in India which represent a large market for talent, and the similarities between the American and Indian cultures.
The two bodies announced their tie-up at a signing ceremony which was also attended by animal rights activist Amala Akkineni and Chris Higgins, vicepresident, admissions and marketing, AISFM.
As part of the agreement, a team comprising students and faculty from the Chapman University will participate in an exchange programme with AISFM.
The students will be making three films and Amala will act in one
