Promising to bring back ‘Rajanna Rajyam’ if the YSR Congress Party is voted to power in the Residuary Andhra Pradesh state, its president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has assured that the people of the new state that his government will strive hard to solve all their problems.

Addressing a roadside meeting at Kondareddy Buruju in Kurnool town, as part of his election campaign on Monday, he assured Kurnool Muslims of a MLC seat to the community immediately after taking over as the chief minister of the new state. Picking holes in the various election promises made by Telugu Desam Party supremo N Chandrababu Naidu, Jagan reminded the people that Naidu had not kept any of the promises that he had made during the 2009 elections.

Among others, Naidu had not implemented the promise of Rs 2 per kg rice, he said and added that on the other hand he had lifted prohibition in the state indirectly inflicting a huge burden on the poorer sections of the people. He urged the people to be wary of political leaders like Naidu and not to vote for the TDP.

Reiterating his promise of sops to various sections of people, Jagan said that his government would make the Residuary Andhra Pradesh state a hut-free state.

YSRC candidates B Renukamma (for the Kurnool LS seat), SV Mohan Reddy (for the Kurnool Assembly seat) , SPY Reddy (for the Nandyal LS seat) and Bhuma Nagi Reddy (for the Nandyal Assembly seat) were among those who participated in the road show of the YSR Congress Party chief Jagan Mohan Reddy in Kurnool.
