HYDERABAD: Hyderabad-based Martmobi Technologies is the first ever Indian start-up to be selected by Techstar Technologies, one of world’s most successful accelerator.

Techstar is a US-based mentorship-driven startup accelerator founded by David Cohen and Brad Field. Less than one per cent of companies that apply to Techstars is selected every year and Martmobi is the only Indian contender. This is also the first time that an Indian entity has been selected.

Other mentors of Techstars include Foursquare CEO Dennis Crowley, Tumblr CEO David Karp, HubSpot co-founder and CTO Dharmesh Shah and Fred Wilson of Union Square Ventures.

Only a year-old, Martmobi was founded by tech entrepreneurs Satya Krishna Ganni and Pramod Nair and has already made it’s presence felt at the global front.

Started by a small capital from IIIT Hyderabad, it later raised capital from BitChemy ventures and Srini Koppolu.

The company offers an end-to-end mobile commerce platform for online stores, brands and retailers including rapid mobile, tablet enhancement, analytics, marketing toolkits and deep shopping cart integrations.

Martmobi has been associated with market leaders like Shopify, Zepo, Yahoo, Amazon and Bigcommerce in the past apart from tasting success in India.
