HYDERABAD: MMTS travellers in twin cities will now be able to experience more enhanced standard of safe travel by by MMTS services from Thursday with the launch of Railway Interactive Security Solution for Traveller Assistance (RISSTA ) meant to provide security to MMTS-users on finger tips.
SCR general manager PK Srivastava launched the App along with A Gandhi, Serilingampalli MLA and MLC N Ramchander Rao at Lingampalli Railway Station near here. The App is available only on android platform.
One has to go to Google play store and search for RISSTA, download and install, signup and verify your mobile number. On starting the journey, traveller may fill train no, coach category (general, ladies, physically handicapped) and direction through a drop down menu.
While moving in a train, an insecure passenger should press help button and than select the travelling coach position so that security can reach to the passenger.
The complaint will be received by RPF Control Room. It alerts the security present at the MMTS stations and rush to the passenger.
The re-modelled Lingampalli railway station building (`1.50 crore) was also inaugurated. Later speaking to media, Srivastava said that MMTS train services were of vital importance to meet the transport needs of Hyderabad and Secunderbad. Over 1.20 lakh passengers travel in MMTS services daily.
Later, he inspected the passenger amenities at Lingampalli railway station. He spoke on the measures being undertaken to upgrade the standards of MMTS railway stations including passenger amenities etc. Earlier, he travelled by MMTS train from Secunderabad to Lingampalli and interacted with passengers.
