HYDERABAD:  No manual applications will be entertained for regularisation of unauthorised constructions and buildings constructed in deviation from the sanctioned plan in Greater Hyderabad.

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) will accept applications for regularisation under the Building penalisation Scheme (BPS) and Layout Regularisation Scheme (LRS) only online. This is being done to check corruption and discourage middlemen. The applications have to be submitted on GHMC website www.ghmc.gov.in.

Previous pending BPS or LRS applications will also be considered subject to payment of balance fee, if any.

Citizens can utilise the opportunity for regularising plots purchased in unauthorised layouts, regularise their unauthorised constructions and constructions made in deviation of sanctioned plan.

Unauthorised buildings constructed after October 28 in deviation from the sanctioned plan will not be regularised and stringent  measures including demolition will be taken up. Satellite imageries like Google Earth/Maps will be verified to assess whether a construction came up prior to October 28 later. The unapproved layouts and sub-division of plots with registered sale deed, title deed existing as on October 28 will be considered for regularisation. Buildings constructed prior to October 28 are eligible for regularisation.

Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, GHMC special officer B.Janardhan Reddy said that if unauthorised layouts, plots and buildings were not regularised within the stipulated time, serious action would be taken against such plot and building owners. Such unapproved layouts or plots and unauthorised buildings would be treated as continuing offence and penalty as per law would be levied.

No regular water supply connections and services like drainage and sewerage would be extended. Such unapproved layouts would be recorded in the Prohibitory Register of the registration department and no sale or disposal or transaction will be allowed.

No building approvals will be considered by the building sanctioning authority in such unapproved layouts, plots. Other enforcement action including demolition of the building, if any, on such plot or plots would be be initiated, he added.
