HYDERABAD: Playback singer Kousalya filed a harassment suit against her husband Subramanyam at the SR Nagar police station.
Following her complaint, police on Tuesday booked a case against him under Section 506 IPC (Criminal intimidation) and took up investigation.
“Kousalya complained about her husband Subramanyam four days ago. Domestic issues led to the misunderstandings between them,” said A Venkateshwara Rao, DCP, West Zone.
Kousalya had complained against her husband earlier and police had counselled him. The singer married her childhood friend Subramanyam after dating him for a few years, it is learnt. It seemed ok in their marriage initially but suddenly things have taken for the worse. Apparently, fights between the couple eventually resulted in Kousalya going to the police. Kousalya, who hails from Guntur, made her debut as playback singer with ‘Nee Kosam’ movie in the year 1999 and sung more than 400 songs till now.
