Here are some women who are at the forefront of action at COWE. They ideate, execute, strategise to build their organisation as a strong one. The common thread in all their work is the passion with which they are pursuing enterpreneurship and the pace at which they come forward to help other women get ahead in life. What makes them tick and what are their achievements? Here’s a quick look at the rocking ladies at COWE.

Enterprising entrepreneur Girija Pandipati, President

Credentials: BCom Hon from Osmania University

Work profile: Founder and Managing Partner of Kenra  Technologies which is into design and manufacturing of  SMPS based power systems catering to several industries

Achievements: As president of COWE for two years, she has been instrumental in guiding women in setting up  enterprises. Her work with NGOs and manufacturing industry has helped  women  establish their own enterprisesAchievements: Leadership roles in trade fairs Special interest:  Helping women turn into enterpreneurs and generate further employment

Expanding horizons Geeta Goti, Vice-President

Credentials: She has a Bachelors degree in Law and Masters in Social work.

Work profile: A well-known name in HR fraternity, she has over 25 years of HR experience with exposure to corporate, government and NGOs.

Spreading wings Soudhamini P

Credentials: LLB, MA and MBA from Osmania University. Director, Confederation of Women Entrepreneurs Work profile: One of the founder members of COWE INDIA and renowned Indian businesswoman and a Managing Partner of Vijay Group.

Achievements: Has won more than 10 awards from various fields. Recognised as  a Women of Substance by media houses. As a President, introduced vendor development programme along with MSME DI put up140 B2- B Stalls. She was instrumental in COWE expansion with eight chapters Special interest: Expansion of individual wings

Providing platforms Vandana  Maheshwari

Credentials: Born in Rajasthan, brought up in West Bengal and married and settled in Telangana

Work profile: Managing  Director of VRK Extrusions Pvt. Ltd, she established VRK after becoming a member of COWE in 2004 and since then has been actively involved in its activities. She is the Joint Secretary Of COWE India and was instrumental in starting the West Bengal chapter.

Achievements: COWE helped her in widening her horizons by giving her the platform to participate in many international exhibitions and thereby becoming instrumental in growing her business.

Special interest: She tries to motivate other women to push their boundaries

Research is her forte Dr Uma Chakravadhanula

Credentials: Dermatovenerologist & cosmetic specialist who graduated from University of  Health sciences.

Work profile: Worked as consultant in different corporate Hospitals. Now in the process of establishing own firm.

Achievements: 1. Members of Indian association (IADVL) 2. Drug based studies on allergy/ urticaria KFRC (Research centre) 3. Doing research trials in chronic diseases like psoriasis, vitiligo, non healing ulcers.

Special interest: To create health awareness on preventive and treatment aspects of different chronic problems related to skin, hair and nail.

Empowerment via enterprise Rama Devi Rachakonda

Credentials: MTech in Electronics and started an Engineering Industry along with her husband Siva Kumar in 1991. She is associated with COWE India since 2007 as Life Member and now Secretary.

Work profile: QMS Auditor and participated in hundred 3rd party audits. She was instrumental in implementing ISO 9001:2008 based Quality Management  System in COWE. Now COWE is Certified to be ISO 9001 QMS compliant.

Achievements: Involved in various COWE Programmess like EDPs, seminars and trade carnivals.

Special interest: Believes profoundly in empowering women through entrepreneurship 

Going clean and green Padmaja Bhanu

Credentials: She practiced organic farming for 14 years and developed techniques to do commercial farming in large scale using 100% natural and organic farming methods.

Work profile: MD, Terra Firma Projects, Hyderabad. A woman farmer first and then the Managing Director  of this fast growing company in the organic food sector in the country Achievements: Today, her company has more than 3,000 organic farmers and more than 1,500 hectares of land under its wing. It has a presence in 10 states in the country with more than 95 SKUs.

Special interest: Bringing back nature into life

Encouraging entrepreneurship  Jyotsna Cheruvu

Credentials: A civil engineering graduate and    MBA  in HR, Jyotsna  ensures CMAC achieves its mission of  4 S- Strength, Speed, Safety and Saving

Work profile:  Founder Director-  CMAC  India Pvt Ltd (MC member, COWE). CMAC India  is into  manufacturing  of construction equipment like construction lifts and cranes  with presence of Pan India and the Middle east.  

Achievements: Awarded the Best Entrepreneur by  COWE  for 2014 and 2015 Special interest: Interacts with academic institutions  in motivating entrepreneurship  skills to student fraternity as a part of nation building activity
