To ensure the construction of RWHS pits programme, the high -level committee, if appointed, would give suggestions and guidance, he said while reviewing status of RWHS in the city on Saturday. Janardhan Reddy said most of the RWHS pits constructed by GHMC in government offices, parks, open spaces, schools, colleges, playgrounds have become defunct and are not functioning properly.

The civic body commissioner directed the deputy municipal commissioners to initiate steps to restore at least 100 defunct RWHS pits in their circles on priority basis.
