HYDERABAD: Attar is back in vogue. Of course, our Bollywood is promoting it in every song possible. From Ghagra song in YJYD to Gulabo song in Shaandar and not to forget the new breakup song from ADHM too, which has attar in it.

Aromazeia, an organic, ancient method restoring company, at the lap of Himalayas is producing mitti ki attar, which is now a hot favourite among the stressed snap chat generation.

What is mitti ki attar and how is it made?
The earthy scent produced when rain falls on dry soil, that’s the smell of mitti attar. It is obtained by hydrodistillation(traditional deg bhapka process) of baked clay and the process takes almost a month. This method is said to be almost 5000 years old and there has been no change in the process since then. Reports suggest this is the same process which was used during the Indus Valley Civilization.

How our mitti the is different from others?
As soil and base oil are the only two ingredients used in mitti attar, base oil plays a very important role as well.
The oil blend we have used, as a base oil, in this attar is of organic grade and holds tremendous health and beauty benefits. High in vitamin C, rich in iodine, contains vitamin E & vitamin B complex. It has many important minerals as well.

It moisturises our skin  well and makes it softer, supple and smooth, without making it greasy.
It can naturally minimise fine lines and wrinkles, helps to treat dry, chapped and cracked skin
Helps treating sunburn, scars and acne. It also helps controlling nose bleeding.

Considered for aromatherapy and relaxation, it is a massage oil too. Smelling mitti attar  helps  in alleviating mood and reducing the ill-effects of depression. It works as an antidepressant and provides immense relief from the stress and nervous tension.

Soil being its main ingredient, odour of mitti attar depends on a lot on climatic and geographical conditions.
In rainy season or during cloudy days, it is really difficult to get the right fragrance out of it. Also, depending on the soil type, the scent produced while raining could be slightly different in different regions.
