When Aadi lifted Aruna and walked in the snow

HYDERABAD: Tollywood’s Sukumarudu Aadi a.k.a Aditya found the love of his life, Aruna Shobhanadri, who is a software professional from Rajahmundry. The A..Aa (Aruna..Aadi) duo got hitched on 13 December, 2014. After 18 months of togetherness,  the duo reflect on their marriage so far.

First Meet

Aadi: I saw her at my sister’s wedding. And in 2014, I received a marriage proposal from her family. On a fine evening, I met her at Novotel where we both shared our interests, I asked her if she ready to accept a person from the film industry and waited to hear a ‘yes’ from her. When she did, our journey as a couple had begun.

Romantic dates

I always get scolded by her for not being romantic, but I surprised her by taking her to the Falaknama palace for a candle light dinner. It was an evening full of love, laughter and bonding.

Amidst the serene ambience, music and rooftop balcony, we spent the best time of our lives and were simply lost in each other.

Tying the knot

Aadi: In the days leading up to my marriage, I felt really nervous as all of my friends constantly kept saying that I’m too young for the responsibilities. But I wished to spend the rest of my life with her, no matter what, as she is the only person who understands me and accepted me for who I really am.

Our wedding was scheduled at 4 in the morning, I felt that there was some magic in those early hours of time, as it added seriousness to our wedding. When I saw her coming towards me at the mandapam, I lost myself in her eyes.

Aruna: I was very nervous as it was an arranged marriage and I did not know him completely then. I went to mandapam with the trust and respect that I carry in my heart towards him as a person and my trust hasn’t been broken even once till date.

Aadi: Moreover, my hands were shivering while tying those three knots to her as my mind constantly kept telling me that a girl is coming to my home with a lot of trust on me. Only a person who is married will understand what I felt at that moment.

Honeymoon:

Aadi: We went to New Zealand for our honeymoon. That trip was a blend of adventures and romantic dates. We went to Creamstone, an adventure island for snow skiing and after a point she gave up climbing, I had no option but to carry her all the way back in the snow with heavy shoes filled with ice that made me turn into a real life hero as well.

Aruna: I have spent the best days of my life at Creamstone and we both decided that we will go there exactly after 15 years of our marriage.

Falling in love

Aadi: As it is an arranged marriage, it took time for us to get to know each other but when we did, our souls became one. I haven’t proposed to her in a cinematic style, it just happened between us with time. Mutual understanding is the important ingredient of our lives.

Aruna: Before our wedding, even though I accepted him as my husband I used to have doubts if he is right for me or not. But after being together for one month, I fell for him and his generosity.

Favouriate thing

Aadi: I like many things about her, but my  favourite quality in her is patience and sensibility. Moreover, she is very caring, I feel lucky that I got a wife who is so patient and caring.

Aruna: He is very pure from the heart, he always cares for the comfort zone of others and treats me with utmost love and respect.Who doesn’t want a husband like this? *laughs*

Fights:

We don’t fight much and when we do, a cold war phase runs for a while but in the end, we end up talking to each other as if nothing has happened.*waves white flag instantly*

Bonding :

Aadi: I never felt that Aadi and Aruna are two different persons. We might be two physically but we are one spirtually. She is a part of me, sharing my sorrows along with my happiness.

Aruna: We have a rapport and we take all the decisions together with mutual consent. This makes us stay connected emotionally.

Ayaana- The happy ingredient:

Aadi: When I saw her coming into this world for the first time, I felt numb. I just stood staring at her little pink palms and rosy cheeks. I hugged my wife and thanked her for giving me such a beautiful gift. She is seven months old now, and the happy ingredient of our lives. I became more responsible now, as I’m a father now. *Haha*

Aruna: I have no words to describe what I felt when I first saw her, that is the best moment of our married life till date.

Best thing about being in marriage:

Aadi: First thing is, you are not lonely in life and you have someone who shares your happiness, who cares for you, who truly loves you back Marriage gave me a best life and many special moments which without her are incomplete. When she praises me for my success, I reach cloud nine.

Aruna: Marriage has given me a person who understands, supports and stays with me in every walk of my life. No doubt that he is the best person that I’ve ever met.

Hardest thing about being in marriage:

Aadi: I have struggled to manage my schedule as I am in a field, where I have to go for shoots and stay at the sets till late hours. But the bond we share has made everything easier. I prefer taking her to sets along with me if it is an outdoor shoot so that we both spend some quality time. Now that we had Ayaana, it became difficult to hangout much as she needs to be taken care of.

I have grown up seeing my parents, who are together for more than 33 years. They struggled a lot during the early days of their marriage as my father was a normal dubbing artist and yet, they never gave up on each other.

The way they stood for each other in hard times inspires me. He is the best father and husband and my role model. I hope to manage family the same way he did. Marriage has taught me the value of a family and a comapanion, Aruna is the best thing that happened to me in my 28 years of life.
