HYDERABAD:  An Intermediate second-year student at Narayana Junior College hanged himself from the ceiling on Tuesday morning after he was allegedly upset over the college management planning to inform his parents about his unruly behaviour.

The incident took place after the Ganesh Chaturthi holidays were over and the students were returning to the hostel. The youngsters had been asked to report to college with their parents, but Sai Karan turned up alone on Monday.

The management then called the boy’s father V Vamshidhar to discuss his son’s behaviour. As Vamshidhar stays in Nizamabad, he informed the management that his brother-in-law, who was the local guardian, would come to college on Tuesday.

When Tuesday morning came and everyone went for breakfast, the boy stayed back in his room. After breakfast, his roommates found the room locked and forced it open, only to find their friend hanging.

The boy was shifted to a local hospital where he was declared brought dead. The management informed the police about the death and body was shifted to Gandhi Hospital for postmortem examination.
