Telangana cops to quiz 2 Ansarullah Bangla Team terrorists who lived in Hyderabad

Coming as a huge shock to Telangana police, three days ahead of GES, Kolkata Special Task Force police released pictures of two terrorists associated to The Ansarullah Bangla Team.

HYDERABAD: Coming as a huge shock to Telangana police, three days ahead of GES, Kolkata Special Task Force police released pictures of two terrorists associated to The Ansarullah Bangla Team of Bangladesh, one of whom lived in Hyderabad for over a year.A team of TS police rushed to Kolkata on Thursday to question terrorists who were caught by STF. The two accused, Samsad Mia alias Tushar Biswas alias Tanvir (26) and Raizul Islam alias Sumon (25) of Bangladesh were caught in Howrah railway station three days ago.

On November 21, STF which tracked an arms dealer Monotosh Dey (46), arrested Samsad and Raizul. Monotosh was arrested too. During their interrogation, it was learned that they lived in Hyderabad. The duo worked in a slaughterhouse located on the outskirts of Hyderabad. Samsad, an engineering graduate had also reportedly undergone a software course training here in city.

“Samsad, Raizul and another Sophon Biswas alias Tamim (23), reached Hyderabad after infiltration and lived for over an year at Manneguda area. In early October, they visited Kolkata as ordered by their boss Aimen, who heads the Al Qaeda in the Indian sub-continent,” said a source close to police.
Samsad also opened a bank account in Hyderabad using a fake Aadhar card. The bank account is reportedly used for receiving funds and however, police is tightlipped about it, said the source.
On learning about Hyderabad links of the arrested gang members, a team of state security agency went to Kolkata to interrogate Samsad and Raizul.

Speaking to Express, an officer who is part of the team that nabbed the duo explained, “A team from Hyderabad headed by a DIG rank officer has come to question the arrested ABT terrorists. Questioning is on to find out their links.” 

The STF also released pictures of Sophon, who also stayed in Hyderabad and is now absconding. With only three days remaining to GES and inauguration of Hyderabad Metro Rail, TS police have become more alert and are conducting rigorous searches across city. Meanwhile, Ministry of Home Affairs has informed TS police that delegates from foreign countries that do not have good terms with the US are visiting Hyderabad to attend GES, and asked police to be alert.
