HYDERABAD: A division bench of the Hyderabad High Court on Thursday refused to intervene in the PIL filed seeking directions to the Telangana government to take over Nizam Sugars Limited into the government sector. The issue pertains to the policy decision of the state government, the bench noted.

The bench of Chief Justice TBN Radhakrishnan and Justice V Ramasubramanian was dealing with a PIL filed by Dharmapuri Aravind and five others from Nizamabad district seeking implementation of the GO issued by the state government in pursuance of the recommendations of the House committee of the erstwhile AP state assembly.

The petitioners’ counsel told the court that there was no progress in the GO issued by the state government in the year 2015.

Intervening, the bench said that the issue involves the joint venture agreement relating to private sector maintenance of Nizam Sugars company,  hence the court would not intervene in the case.
