When your surroundings smell good, everything around somehow feels a little better. Bringing this idea of scent-led ambience to life, Mumbai-based NYNE — Luxury Scent Diffusion System, recently showcased its fragrances at Design Democracy 2026. Talking about the brand and its focus, founder Sunakshi Savla says, “We have always been in the fragrance industry since 2013. We were giving fragrance to commercial spaces, so it is more B2B because people want to fragrance the same way in their homes. That is when we decided we have to get something for homes as well. We have been doing offices, lobbies, cinemas, hotels and larger spaces. Now we have also got into homes.”
The brand has already created signature scent experiences for several well-known names. “We are fragrance partners for Mercedes showrooms all over India, PVR Cinemas, Manish Malhotra, Arjun Rathi, D’Decor and a few others,” she shares.
For NYNE, however, it is not just about making a space smell pleasant but ensuring that the fragrance is evenly experienced throughout the space. “Our USP is to make sure that fragrances are consistent. It is not just fragrance in one particular area where the diffuser is put. It is consistent in the entire area and it covers that entire area. The effect that it has is a beautiful image — walking into a space that smells good versus walking into a space that has no smell. It is a feel-good factor and that is why we have nine fragrances that cater to different moods and emotions,” she explains.
The fragrance collection is designed to evoke different experiences, making scent an extension of the interiors and personality of a home. “Every time you walk into your house and it smells like beautiful jasmine, it is such a nice, clean feeling,” she notes.
For those drawn to the outdoors, NYNE offers Bamboo Forest. “You walk in and feel a very fresh forest smell with a lot of plants. Depending on the interiors of the house, we suggest fragrances and, of course, it also depends on the mood that people would want to have,” adds Sunakshi.
And while the brand’s nine fragrances are central to its identity, its name has a personal story behind it too. “It plays on the word nine. We have nine fragrances for nine different moods and emotions. We have spelt it as NYNE as they are the initials of my children, Nysha and Neel,” she reveals.
Available in 100 ml and 25 ml sizes, the fragrances are designed for use over a period of time rather than continuously throughout the day. With the brand already having a presence across several cities and commercial spaces, Hyderabad could be next on its expansion map. “Hopefully soon. Hyderabad looks so good and promising and I wish we can open a store here,” she concludes.
