KOCHI: The majority of us, including me, are first time voters. Being an SFI activist I’m sure Sindhu Joy will win! Actually the votes from the whole bunch of us from Maharaja's will make her win.
Apart from being an ex-student of this college, Sindhu has done a lot for students. She has endured a lot of torture to stop the corruption in self financing colleges and has the image of an ideal youth leader. She is a great inspiration for the young generation. We believe that she can do a lot for students since she understands us better than any other leader.
It’s true that Professor K V Thomas is more experienced than Sindhu. But that’s the only barrier that we students see against Sindhu’s victory. K V Thomas hails from a rich family whereas Sindhu comes from a poor family. This is one good reason for us to believe that she can do much more for the uplift of the poor and the needy.
Another barrier that I find against Sindhu’s victory is that the Catholics are against her. The Congress would have had much more chance if Hibi Eden had contested in the polls. He is a youngster, he hails from Ernakulam and he stands on par with Sindhu.
Regarding corruption, no politician walks around with clean hands. Sindhu Joy has just entered the political scenario and she is free of any kind of corruption charges. No matter who wins, we want more and more youngsters in politics.

Jai Ho, Sindhu!!
An elected post is now similar to a government job.
Once the desired position is reached, the lure of it disappears.
Similarly, the promises made during the campaign are forgotten once candidates come to power.
But I think Sindhu will change this. Take a look at her history and you come to know that she was an active member of the SFI during her college days. In this election she represents the youth.
She is a woman candidate, but she has not shown any partiality to the gender as such so far.
This impartial method of campaigning makes her popular among us. This energetic figure is sure to win this time, Jai ho Sindhu!!
