KOCHI: Visiting Internet cafes will no longer be easy in the city once they come under the surveillance of CLINCK Cyber Cafe Manager developed by solutions provider Ideacts Innovations to check misuse of cyberspace for anti-national and criminal activities.

The system was formally launched the other day at an interactive function in which city police officials, promoters of Ideacts Innovations and cyber cafe owners took part. They discussed steps to contain cyber crime.

Deputy City Police Commissioner George Varghese said the CLINCK Cyber Cafe Manager was being introduced to ensure that the cafes do smooth, secure and safe business and help maintain national security.

Once it is introduced, it will be mandatory for people to register their names to gain entry to cafes. An all-India login ID will be given to the visitors.

All information and data backup will be done on CLINCK servers, including storage of photo, photo ID, address, contact numbers, e-register and others, said Krishna Swami, Head of Operations (South & East), Ideacts Innovations.

The technology will help capture all relevant data of cafe visitors in digital form and it can be availed of by cyber cafe owners free of cost.

The system, already installed in many cities across the country, will be operational here shortly.
