KOCHI: The silver jubilee celebration and installation of the new officebearers (20102011) of the Indian Medical Association Cochin West were conducted at Hotel Casino on Sunday.
Dr Srikumar Vasudevan, president of the Kerala State IMA, installed Dr Sushil Daniel as the new president of the association.
In his address, Dr Sushil expressed his desire to initiate more sociallyoriented programmes in the year ahead.
K V Thomas, Minister for State for Agriculture and Consumer affairs, who was the chief guest, lauded the community services of the IMA Cochin West.
Three founding members of the branch Dr K R Jayachandran, founderpresident of IMA Cochin West, Dr R N Arwari and Dr B Rajendran were honoured with mementoes.
Dr Jayachandran , Dr Sachidananda Kamath (presidentelect IMA Cochin), Dr Joy George, (president KGMOA) and Dr N S DRaju ( vicepresident AIOS) offered felicitations. Former president of IMA Cochin West Dr Shaheer T Bava welcomed the gathering and secretary Dr Jessy John presented a report.
Among those present were Dr Prasan Prabhakar, Dr Maneesha Bhat, Dr John Mathai, Dr Harimohan, Dr Shaila Kamath, Dr Usha Varkey, Dr Pramila Harimohan, Mrs Saras Rajendran and Ms Sruthi Harimohan.
