KOCHI: Future Innoversity, the academic initiative of Future Learning, a part of the Future Group, in association with IGNOU, has commenced the admission process for its newly introduced programme, MBA in Supply Chain Management. Admissions have also commenced for the next batch of its flagship two-year MBA Retail and three-year BBA Retail Services programmes. These programmes will be held at the four Future Innoversity campuses in Delhi, Ahmedabad, Kolkata and Bangalore. The application forms are available free of cost at all the campuses and can also be downloaded from www.futureinnoversity.edu.in. The last date for receiving applications is May 7.
All three courses offer guaranteed job placement with Future Group. Every single successful MBA Retail and BBA Retail Services student will be directly absorbed by the group’s leading retail formats like Big Bazaar, Food Bazaar, HomeTown, Central, Pantaloons and eZone, at managerial and supervisory
positions. The MBA Supply Chain Management students will be recruited by the Future Supply Chain. Future Group currently operates 16 million sq ft of retail space in 85 cities and 65 rural destinations. India’s organised retail industry is undergoing a rapid transformation and poised to become the largest employer. It’s estimated that organised retail alone will require 18 million skilled manpower by 2022.
Foreseeing the need to fill this gap in organised retail and other industry sectors, Future Innoversity will focus on sector-specific courses only. Recognising that proficiency in supply chain management will be widely required in the areas of service, manufacturing and retail-oriented sectors, Future Innoversity has launched its two-year MBA in Supply Chain
Management. Students are also invited to apply for the next batch of its well-received two-year MBA Retail and three-year BBA Retail Services launched last year. While MBA in Supply Chain Management will be offered at its campuses in Bengaluru and Ahmedabad only, MBA Retail and BBA Retail Services will be offered at all four locations.
Muralidhar Rao, CEO, Future Learning, said, “Our programmes in MBA and BBA Retail have been well-received and we are offering MBA in Supply Chain Management from this year. It is our endeavour to ensure that the students learn from the best in the industry, be it industry practitioners or academicians, so that when they graduate they are ready to take up the challenges. Our focus is to increase employability and not just provide employment.”
Future Innoversity was recently awarded the Best National B-School Award by Star News for the Industry Related Curriculum in Retail for 2011.
