KOCHI: Former senior Canada Immigration Officer Carolyn Mahon has joined the immigration services provider Polinsys as a senior consultant.
Having held a variety of positions with Canada Immigration for 16 years, Carolyn had also worked as an Adjudicator of the Government of Canada. She comes to the Toronto-based Polinsys group with the advantage of having seen things from ‘both sides of the fence’, giving her a unique understanding of the processes involved with emigrating to Canada. Carolyn, who will focus on students, their opportunities and ‘in-Canada submissions,’ will be in Kochi from May 12 to 21.
Polinsys is looking to equip those dreaming of moving to Canada with the expertise required to clear the visa norms under the proposed changes to immigration laws being considered by Canada Immigration.
The changes, likely to make immigration to Canada difficult for individuals over the age of 35 and for those who have less IELTS scores, are expected to come into force over the next few months with an emphasis on skilled workforce.
