For those heading for Ponekkara area, there are many byroads that will take you to your destination. Vehicles from Kaloor can ply through Ponekkara-Edappally to reach NH, Paravur, Aluva and Container road to escape from the traffic congestion.

The stretch from Kaloor through Ponnekkara-Edappally will take you to Changampuzha Road. A deviation from there will lead to the Amrita Hospital. By taking a left deviation from  Ponekkara, one can reach the National Highway from where there are deviations to Paravur, Aluva, Container Road.

 From NH 47, the vehicles can ply via Manimala Road to reach NH 17 from where the vehicles can head for the Container Road to reach Pathalam Junction to reach Kuttikkatukara. By taking the Edamula bridge,the vehicles can reach Aluva. {This route is comparatively easy and less congested}

For those heading for Kaloor from Edappally, plying through Menon Parambu Road will take you to BTS Road which leads to Pottakuzhi via Thannikkal. If you move through Pachalam route you can easily reach Kaloor. Another option is to take the Goshree Road to reach High Court Junction.

Vehicles coming from Paravur, Aluva can easily reach Kaloor by plying via NH 17 to reach Cheranelloore Road. From there take the Pone vazhi to reach Ponekkara Road which will take you to Pottakuzhi.

The vehicles coming to Kaloor from Aluva, Ernakulam and vice-versa can take the Kaloor - Kathrikkadavu bridge. From there, turn to the right to reach AL Jacob bridge from where you can travel without hassles to Chittor Road or MG Road via KSRTC stand. This route will help you avoid the toll booth at Pullepady.

Another  way to reach Kaloor is through Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium to  Thammanam-Pullepady road.  You can either drive to Kaloor or Kadavanthra to keep off the traffic jam in front of the Kaloor bus stand.
