Rahul Raj’s amazing vocals and Vivek Kanavillil’s thrilling drums will rock the city as popular rock band ‘Beastial Murder’ will perform live at ‘Southern Deathfest’ at Gold Souk, Vytilla, on Saturday.
Considered as one of the first death metal fest in the state, ‘Southern Deathfest’, will showcase the performances of seven death metal bands from Kerala and Bangalore.
It’s after a good period of time that Kochi is going to experience an adrenaline pumping session featuring seven bands. Kochi-based bands are ‘Legates of Reaper’, ‘Occultism’ and ‘Beastial Murder’. ‘Decaying Humanity’ is from Thiruvananthapuram and the other three Bangalore-based bands are ‘Terminus Exitium’, ‘Human Broth’ and ‘Prime Rage’.
‘Southern Deathfest’, organised by Moshpit Concerts, will be held at Q8 PAC situated at Gold Souk from 5 pm. All the bands focus on the death metal genre and are among the finest of the upcoming metal acts from south India. The tickets are priced at `150 at the gates and pre sale price is `100.
‘Moshpit Concerts’ considers this gig as a complete death metal mayhem.
“We feel that the metal community in Kochi has expanded nowadays when compared to the past when Moshpit Concerts started to organise live rock shows every year. The very first such act was Gathering Storm- I -- festival of six bands,” says its founder Vivek Chiramel.
Moshpit Concerts are famous for conducting Gathering Storm - I and II at Willington Island and Vicious Riots - I & II at Fortcochin.
Beastial Murder is a groove/technical metal band from Kochi, formed in 2008, by Rahul and Vivek. At present, the band is working on their debut EP, which will be releasing soon. The band also has Chris Paul on guitar and Nikhil Dominic on Bass guitar.
