Jet Launches Direct Flight to Dubai

KOCHI: Jet Airways has launched a direct flight from Kochi to Dubai, further strengthening its growing international network with enhanced flight connectivity between India and the Gulf and beyond.

The inaugural flight from Kochi International Airport was attended by District Collector M G  Rajamanickam, Airport Director A C K  Nair, CIAL Managing Director V J Kurien and Ajit Kumar. 

This is the first direct flight of Jet Airways from Kochi to Dubai. This new service will complement the currently operated daily direct flights to Abu Dhabi, Dammam, Doha, Kuwait, Muscat and Sharjah.

Dubai is linked with five flights from Mumbai, one flight from Mangalore and two services with Delhi, making it the largest operator between India and Dubai.  The flight will take off from Kochi International Airport at 8.30 hrs and will arrive in Dubai at 11.40 hrs. The return flight will depart from Dubai at 12.40 hrs  to arrive at Kochi at 18 hrs (local time).

With these new flights, Jet Airways will achieve the landmark milestone of becoming India’s first private airline to operate over 50 daily flights to multiple destinations in the Gulf. This includes daily departures to Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Dubai, Doha, Kuwait, Sharjah, Jeddah, Dammam and Riyadh.

“We are happy to introduce a new flight on the Kochi - Dubai route, the first flight from Kerala following an increased demand due to tourist, business traffic and the Indian expatriates,” said Gaurang Shetty, senior vice-president-Commercial, Jet Airways.
