KOCHI: An eco-friendly bus waiting shed with modern facilities including round- the-clock wifi connectivity will soon be set up at MG Road by using money from the special development fund of Hibi Eden MLA.
It is a part of the MLA’s eco friendly initiative that 20 hi-tech bus waiting sheds would be set up in the major points of the constituency. The one at MG road would be the first among them. “There will be quality seats, FM radio music from 6 am to 6 pm, mobile chargers, laptop and mobile rest pads, newspaper-magazine kiosks, and wifi connection round the clock, at the waiting sheds”, said a press statement from the MLA’s office here on Saturday.
“The mobile chargers, FM radio and internet wifi modum would be functioning using solar energy. There would also be USB audio system in the bus shelters to provide the government level information to the public. Each shelter would cost Rs 3 lakh and the construction of the shelters have been entrusted with government agency Sidco”, the press statement further said.
