City Schools Rank High Nationally: Survey

KOCHI: City schools have earned top positions in the latest school rankings carried out by Education World, a leading education website.

As per the rankings, Choice School, Tripunithura, is the top school from the state and eighth nationally in the ‘Co-ed Day-cum-Boarding Schools’ segment. This is a big improvement for the Choice School, which was ranked 12th last year and 29th the previous year. The school was ranked 115th in the year 2012.

Pallikoodam School, Kottayam, which is ranked 10th nationally, secured the second rank from the state in this category. The school, founded by Mary Roy, improved two positions from its 12th position last year.

Other schools which emerged in the top slots from the state in this segment are St Peter’s Senior Secondary School, Kochi (ranked 21s), GPS, Thiruvaniyoor, Kochi (22nd), KE, Kottayam (48) and SN Vidya Bhavan, Thirssur (55).

In the best co-ed city schools category, the top-ranked schools in Kochi are Rajagiri Public School, Kalamassery, Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Vaduthala, Rajagiri Christu Jayanthi Public School, Bhavan’s Vidyamandir, Giri Nagar, Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Kannamkulangara, Vidyodaya School, Gregorian Public School, Tripunithura, St Peter’s Sr Sec School, Kadayiruppu, Viswajyothi Public School, Angamaly, Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Elamakkara, Nirmala Public School, Muvattupuzha, Vimalagiri Public School, Kothamangalam, St Patrick’s Academy, Angamaly and Cochin Refineries School. In ranking of ‘International best day schools’, Sadhbhavana World School, Kozhikode (ranked 9th).
