KOCHI: Kalyan Silks, the world’s largest silk saree showroom network, is all set for a major expansion across the country and abroad in the next six months, with an investment of `250 crore.
“The well-charted expansion plan will see the company opening new stores at Salem, Vadakara, Payyanur and Kasargod. Al Qusais in Dubai and Ruwi in Muscat are the new international destinations in Kalyan’s expansion chart,” stated a press release here. The Salem showroom will be the 21st outlet in Kalyan silk’s ever-expanding network. The showroom will be inaugurated by actor Nayanthara on Saturday. It is the second showroom to be opened in Tamil Nadu, after the world-class showroom that was launched at Erode in 2013. The Salem showroom, located on Omallur road, opposite the New Bus Stand, will be the largest textile showroom in Salem.
