NEDUMBASSERY: Chief Justice of India T S Thakur inaugurated the new campus of the Kerala Judicial Academy, at Athani near here on Saturday.
“The Judicial Academy should give training for public prosecutors, young lawyers, police and people’s representatives apart from that for the judges. The institution should be developed as a multi-training centre”, the Chief Justice said.
“The importance of law has increased in the present day world and cases could handled well only through consistent learning”, said Union Minister of Law and Justice Sadananda Gowda.
“The Judicial Academy should focus on such training and research”, the union minister added.
“It is high time for all judges and lawyers to acquire knowledge in Intellectual Property Rights and Copy Right”, said Chief Minister Oommen Chandy.
Kerala Judicial Academy president justice K T Sankaran welcomed the gathering.
