KOCHI: “There is no ‘I’, its still ‘us’. Santhi is peace, but she never rests,” posted national award winning music director Bijibal Maniyil in his Facebook post after the untimely demise of his wife Santhi Bijipal. The musician has now given a new dimension to keep his wife’s memories alive by tattooing a beautiful portrait of Santhi in his hand.

In the tattoo, Santhi’s picture appears in a framed image with a caption on its side reading  ‘Ente Chundile Chiri Chankile Chora’. The image has gone viral and is getting warm response from people. The tattoo was inked by Ink-Fected Tattoo Studio. It’s owner Sujeesh P S was appreciated for his work.
Speaking to Express, Sujeesh said that Bijibal had approached his studio a few days ago and expressed his desire to have his wife’s photo tattooed in his hand. “The work was completed within two hours,” he said.
Santhi was a dancer by profession and ran a dance school. Ever since her demise, the music director has taken to social media to uploaded various videos and photos of his wife in his account. An old video of Santhi teaching dance to daughter Daya Bijibal was uploaded by Bijibal on Children’s day, which also happens to be Daya’s birthday too. The video had garnered huge attention and was popular on social media. A musical tribute was also paid to Santhi, which was sung by Bijibal’s children Daya and Devdutt and their cousin Lola with Bijibal playing the violin. Love knows no boundaries, not even death and Bijibal’s love, just like his songs, seem eternal and everlasting.
