THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Sabarinath, the main accused in the Total 4U financial fraud case, who began an indefinite fast from Tuesday evening, ended his protest after he was reportedly threatened by the jail authorities.

Sabarinath and his father Rajan had began the fast inside the Central Jail alleging conspiracy against them. The fast was started to protest against the denial of bail to him and his father when all the other accused in the case have been granted bail.

According to sources, the jail authorities had warned of putiing him and his father in the condemned cell if they continue with the fast.

Sabarinath has alleged that there had been a conspiracy against him to falsely implicate him in more and more cases when all the other accused are living a normal life outside. Till now, 19 cases have been registered against Sabarinath in which bail has been granted in 15 cases.

However, when Sabarinath was produced before the Court on Tuesday, the Crime Branch slapped one more case against him. Sabarinath resisted  this and submitted a written plea to the Court stating that he was being personally targeted.

He also told the court that he would launch an indefinite fast if failed to get justice.
