THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Air Marshal S. Radhakrishnan, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Southern Air Command on Tuesday visited the Sainik School, Kazhakkoottam, and interacted with the school cadets.
Air Marshal Radhakrishnan, who is also the chairman of the Local Board of Administration of the school, reviewed the Guard of Honour of school cadets and laid a wreath at the War Memorial. He also paid homage to Col N.J. Nair and Capt Harshan by garlanding their busts.
School principal Colonel B. Ajithkumar briefed the AOC-in-C on the various activities of the school. Air Marshal Radhakrishnan, an old cadet of the school, gave a motivational talk to the students of classes XI and XII.
Recalling his school days in 1962, the Air Marshal exhorted the cadets to work hard in order to excel in their future professions. He visited the newly-built science park and computer lab at the school.
The Air Marshal presented four large-size framed photographs of various IAF aircraft to the school. He also presented a trophy to the school cadet who came first in the IAF entry. Colonel Ajithkumar presented the school memento to the Air Marshal.
