THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: International speaker Rev Bernard Blessing will speak at a Christian convention at the Chandrasekharan Nair Stadium here on November 2, 3 and 4.

Rev Bernard is an advisor to many heads of states and presidents.

``This will perhaps be the largest Christian gathering that the city of Trivandrum has witnessed,’’ said Bibi George Chacko, director of Harvest Television and Production, which organises the convention.

``The meeting is not by any particular ministry or denomination, but an effort by over 1,000 churches - big and small - across the State,’’ Bibi George added.

The convention will bring some of the country’s prominent Christian leaders to the city.

A unique feature during the three-day meeting will be the performance of a 250-strong choir, said to be the biggest choir put together in the city.  Coordinator of event Dennis Jacob Kodakeril says: ``The meeting is for the entire State’s peace and harmony. We have no ulterior motive other than praying for the city and the State.’’

Chacko said no one will be influenced to attend the meeting. He said the allegations about using the meeting to convert people to Christianity was baseless.

Blessing, who is from Ghana in West Africa, has ministered in over 100 nations in leadership summits and church conferences, and according to a release, ``is regularly sought by world leaders for godly wisdom and prophetic insights on matters of state.’’

Blessing is the president of Rescue Life International, a ministry based in Accra, Ghana, that provides mentoring leadership and support to over 700 Christian leaders, churches and Christian ministries worldwide.
