THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: IT Kerala has announced that the Government of India has formally notified Technopark Phase III and Technopark Kollam as Special Economic Zones.
This decision was taken at a meeting of the Board of Approvals, Ministry of Commerce, and Government of India, held in New Delhi, said a press release issued by IT Kerala. Technopark Phase-I (31 acres) and Phase-II (86 acres) have already been notified by the Government of India.
Technopark has been getting a lot of international attention for IT/ITES investment. With these approvals for setting up a Special Economic Zone in Phase III and Kollam, Technopark will become a much sought after destination for IT/ITES investment, claimed the release.
Technopark Phase III will be developed over 92 acres of land.
