THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Malabar Gold, one among the largest retail jewellery chains in the country, opened a new showroom at Pazhavangadi in the city on Sunday. Actor Mohanlal, who is also the brand ambassador of Malabar Gold, inaugurated the showroom.
This is the 33rd showroom of Malabar Gold.
The new edition of Malabar Gold offers a wide range of traditional and designer bridal jewellery. There is a display of branded jewellery collections like Mine diamonds, Era uncut diamond jewellery, Ethnics handicrafted designer jewellery and Platinum jewellery. Besides, the showroom features international brands of premium watches like Omega, Rado, Tissot, Espirit and Police.
Malabar Group of Companies chairman M.P. Ahammed said that the new showroom of Malabar Gold at Kottayam will be opened on January 31. ``We have plans to open showrooms in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Muscat, Kollam, Alappuzha and Pathanamthitta,’’ Ahammed said.
Mohanlal and singer K.S. Chitra did the first sale by giving the jewellery to Royal Group, UAE chairman and managing director Sugathan. MLAs V. Sivankutty and Surendran Pillai and Corporation Mayor C. Jayan Babu also attended.
