THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: ‘Aranazhika Neram’, a television serial telecast by Amrita TV has bagged nine awards in the Kerala State Television Awards announced on Wednesday.
The awards were announced by Cultural Affairs Minister M A Baby at a press conference here.
The awards won by ‘Aranazhina Neram’ are the best television serial, best director (Sivamohan Thampi), best screenplay (Kiran Prabhakar), best actor (Murali), best actress (Lena), second best actor (M R Gopakumar), best dubbing artist (Devi), music director (Anil Papanamcode) and the best art director (Saji Kilimanoor).
Saju Attingal received the special jury mention for his portrayal of the villain character in the television serial ‘The officer’ telecast by Amrita TV.
In the news category, Lebi Sajeendran (Manorama News) has won the award for the best investigative report.
M V Nikesh Kumar of Indiavision has been adjudged the best news anchor. ‘Kuttikalude Vartha’ (Jaihind TV), produced by Simi Sabu, is the best children’s programme. ‘Kannirinite Gandhom’ telecast by Asianet has been selected as the best documentary.
John Brittas of Kairali TV has won the award for the best interviewer. The Citizen Journalist programme telecast by Amrita TV has been selected for the best TV show.
A Sahadevan, anchor of ‘24 frames’, is the best programme presenter. Nishanth Rawther of Jaihind TV has been adjudged the best commentator. P R Rajesh, cameraman, Manorama News, has been selected as the best cameraman for his video coverage of an elephant running amok.
