THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Crime Branch has filed chargesheet in 16 cases registered in connection with the Total-4U cheating case involving Sabarinath.

All the 16 cases were clubbed as a single case and a common chargesheet was filed at the Thiruvananthapuram Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate court here on Monday. Besides Sabarinath, 22 others have been arraigned as accused in the case.

 Crime Branch had earlier filed chargesheet in the main case registered in connection with the cheating case as well as another related case. All the main accused in the case, including Sabarinath’s father Rajan, Chandramathi, Hemalatha, Lekshmi Mohan and Dr Remani, are included in the new chargesheet also.

 Among the 22 cars recovered by the police from Sabarinath, five have already been auctioned by the official receiver and the court had  entrusted  with the official receiver the auctioning of the remaining vehicles. A team led by Crime Branch DySP P.Reghu is probing the case.
