THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Education Minister MA Baby termed the decision of the Newman College management to remove TJ Joseph, the Malayalam teacher who had prepared the controversial question paper, from service as "harsh" and a step disproportionate to the mistake committed by the teacher.
“I have a feeling that the management’s decision crossed limits,’’ the Education Minister added.
Baby said TJ Joseph had already been given double the punishment for his deed. He said the State Government would examine the decision of the Newman College management.
The teacher could approach the University Tribunal against the management’s decision, he said. ‘’I hope the teacher would get a favourable verdict,’’ Baby said.
