THIRUVANATHAPURAM: Taj Green Cove, Kovalam and Taj Residency, Vazhuthacaud - the two towering hallmarks of city’s hospitality industry - will bear a new brand name from now onwards. Vivanta by Taj - Trivandrum and Vivanta by Taj - Kovalam will be the new names of the hotels respectively.
The rebranding is part of the second phase of the brand architecture exercise of Taj Hotels Resorts & Palaces. The group on Tuesday announced the rollover of 19 hotels to their new brand, Vivanta by Taj - Hotels & Resorts, slotted in the 5-Star Upper Upscale segment. The company has created Vivanta after a series of extensive customer understanding studies. Vivanta by Taj-Hotels & Resorts are slated to appeal to the cosmopolitan global traveller who appreciates new experiences and pleasant surprises, rather than the typical hotel stay experience, said a press note issued by the Taj.
The name ‘Vivanta’ draws inspiration from the term ‘bon vivant’, signifying sophistication and appreciation for the good things in life and also from the attributes of vividness and vivacity. The brand exudes style and a strong sense of living life to the hilt, it said.
Speaking of the migration, Veer Vijay Singh, COO, Vivanta by Taj - Hotels & Resorts, said: ‘’With the migration of these popular hotels into the Vivanta by Taj brand, guests can look forward to a contemporary, vivacious and energetic experience, keeping at the core the Taj warmth and quintessential Indian hospitality’’.
