THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Vastu Shastra course jointly conducted by the Vastu Shastra Vijnana Peedom and the P N Panicker Community College here, and recognised by the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), was launched here on Tuesday. The course was launched during the 102nd birth anniversary celebrations of P N Panicker held at Kanakakkunnu, by Minister for Cooperation G Sudhakaran.
The course will commence by April second week. The six-month-long certificate course in Vastu Shastra will be launched first. The number of seats has been fixed at 50. There is no age limit to apply. The educational qualification is a pass in the SSLC exam.
It will be followed by a one-year-long diploma course and then a two-year degree course.
Inaugurating the course, the Minister said that Vastu Shastra has become a necessity of the present period. The birth anniversary celebration of P N Panicker was inaugurated by poet O N V Kurup. V M Sudheeran delivered the keynote address at the meeting, which was presided over by PWD Minister M Vijayakumar.
M Nandakumar, Director, I&PRD, Government of Kerala, inaugurated the employability enhancement campaign. K Muraleedharan Nair, Vastu expert with the Vastu Shastra Vijnana Peedom, George Onakkur, advocate V S Harindranath, R Parvathi Devi, N Krishnan Nair, Palode Ravi and N Balagopal were among those who spoke at the function.
Those who wish to join the course should register with the P N Panicker Community College at Thycaud, near Gandhi Smaraka Nidhi, before March 30.
