The Communication Business Unit of NeST Software (Network Systems & Technologies (P) Ltd), has bagged the TL 9000 certification.
Built on ISO 9001 and the eight quality principles, TL 9000 applies specifically to the telecommunications industry. External auditors from Underwriters Laboratories, a world-renowned certification body, had visited the NeST facilities in July and September this year and conducted the audit in two phases. Quality systems, including software development processes, documentation practices and measurement systems followed in the organization, were examined.
“We see Telecom and Communication Vertical as a key strategic focus market for the NeST Group and the achievement will substantially help in our growth in this sector,” said N Jehangir, NeST Group vice-chairman and managing director.
“TL 9000 for software will enable us to extend our software services to the existing customer base of SFO Technologies and accelerate our growth in Telecom and mobile applications vertical,” said Sasi Kumar, president, NeST.
